I’ve been on birth control since I was 14 for medical reasons so my periods have always been consistent. Even when I miss or forget and have to wait until my next period it stays the same.

Well this week my period has been different, I’ve been taking my bc normally and i have had sex twice this month, but having sex doesn’t affect my period.

It’s heavier I guess? I’m finding a lot of blood clots, but the actual blood is a light pink “implantation” bleeding look. But it’s lasted for six days so I don’t think it’s that. And every time I shower/ have a bath it’s dripping down my legs which again has never happened before. I know some people will say “see a doctor” but I don’t have insurance and already have medical bills I need to pay for, so unless I’m gushing blood or going unconscious I will not be seeing a doctor at this time. I just want to know what could be causing this if anyone could think of a reason or has experience with it

*edit* it’s been four years on birth control and I get ovarian cysts as big as softballs that would obviously require surgery. Since they happened so frequently we decided to use birth control and that has reduced the size of the cysts dramatically and for the past year I’ve been free of cysts. But I don’t want to stop the birth control and have them come back when I’m not in a good place to deal with everything that comes with them
