So I started dating this guy and he’s a really nice guy. He treats me really well and he respects my decisions which I really appreciate. Plus I am attracted to him. However, I talked to my mom about dating him, just to inform her and keep her in the loop about my life (I’m 20). So I wasn’t asking permission to date him because I don’t need that, but she was basically saying to me that I deserve someone “high end” (I go to an Ivy League, so I guess that’s what prompted her to say that). I was trying to say to her that I feel like the important thing is that he is trying to work towards something and that is admirable too. Do you think I’m wrong?
