I'm having my second baby and my family keeps telling me that I should do a baby shower because that's a one time thing. What should I do and what would be " appropriate for a second baby "?

My sister did a diaper raffle, everyone who brought diapers she gave them a ticket and raffled off gift baskets.

I think that doing a baby shower for the second kid is okay in some circumstances. Like if the new baby is going to be the opposite gender of the first or if there is a pretty good age difference.

I was under the impression gender reveal parties didn’t warrant gifts. I had a friend who threw her sister in law a sprinkle. Like a baby shower but instead of big ticket items it’s more just like diapers, wipes, and a more casual party. You could ask someone to throw it for you or just throw it yourself and the tightass people who think it’s tacky can just choose to not come lol.

We are having a baby-q for our second. We don’t know the gender yet, but I wanted to do something where we could invite the entire family. Also, fun games for kids. Hot dogs&Hamburgers. Onesie tie-dye station. It’s going to be so so so much fun. 🤩

I'm pregnant with my second and we are having a baby shower. I think gender reveal parties are tacky so we opted for the traditional shower. My daughter is 3 and this time we are having a boy so everyone assumed I would have a shower anyway since we no longer have much baby stuff and what we do still have is all girly. I think it's fine to have a shower with your second baby, if that's what you want to do.

I’m having a baby sprinkle for my second daughter. It’s gonna be at a way smaller scale. Since we have mostly everything, we asked for only gift cards and diapers if they choose to gift us anything. If not, just their presence is good with us. :)
