Has anyone heard of women not feeling any contractions?

I read this article where a pregnant mom said that she didn’t know she was in active labor because she didn’t realize she was contractions because there was no pain!! I was like 😱😱😱 is this a common thing? And can I be blessed with this?? (Maybe a bit of pain, on a scale of 1-10, I’d be able to take a 3)

It is possible to ignore them or not feel them. I get that in the early stages I think because with my first I barely felt anything. Now waiting on my second who is so close to coming out I can feel it but I barely feel contractions at all. My belly is so solid it could be made of rock right now. I can feel my baby surging further and further down. Just waiting for the pop of my waters if they break this time.

I felt extremely small little strains and could have even ignored it had I not went to the doctors and gotten checked to find out I was 5cm I didnt feel anything until 7cm with my first

So far I haven’t been able to tell with the Braxton Hicks 🤷🏻‍♀️ 
Kinda hoping the same trend happens but then again it’s kinda scary not knowing 😂

It's not common, but it happens.
My co worker told me she had no idea with three put of her four children. She couldn't tell it was active labor.

I never felt a single contraction even being induced with my first. My nurse called me a liar but 10 hours in and not even a cramp

Both inductions, but I felt nothing to very little until my water broke. If I had been at home, I wouldn't have taken them seriously at all. I was rating them a 1 or 2 / 10. It got serious once my water broke though.

My sister went into labor at 35 weeks. Didn't know she was having contractions till they hooked her up to a monitor. The reason she went in to get checked out was she felt the urge to push 3 times in 10 minutes. They tried to stop her contractions, but couldn't. She went from 2 cm to 3 cm in less than an hour after she was admitted. C section at 35 weeks - 20 days in NICU, but my niece is strong and healthy now.
So yeah, it can happen. I don't think it's very common though.

Honestly I have had nightmares about this lol. My second kiddo I didn't realize labor had started but I was scheduled for inducement so I just went in the next day.
