spotting for multiple days on birth control?

hi guys, ive been taking birth control pills (lo loestrin) since january 17th of this year. i started taking them once my period started. since about wednesday or thursday of last week, i’ve been having brown discharge/spotting. it’s not heavy, so im not sure if it’s an early light period or discharge or spotting.

i was wondering if anyone else had similar experiences or knew how normal this is. i know it’s supposed to be normal to have spotting and some irregularities when starting a new BC method, but i’m worried that because its been about half a week of constant spotting that something might be up.

i started BC because of my irregular menstruation, so i don’t want something thatll make it even worse!

(also, just in case it matters — i’ve only had penetrative sex around two times since starting my BC, but both were with condoms and pulling out)
