What is a rough draft of a paper?

In school after a long time & have a paper due in two weeks and a rough draft of my paper due this week. Is a rough draft an outline, or my actual paper just not polished yet? Very confused. I need title page, 3 pages of body and a reference page, do I include all of this for the rough draft as well as the paper itself? Thank you!

Unless things have changed when I was to school, a rough draft is your completed paper (everything you will write) that still needs grammar checks, spelling checks, fine tuning, etc.

Yes a rough draft would include all of it. It’s kinda just a throw it all together page and then you figure out what you need to fix and what your teacher thinks you need to fix
