Alright ladies advise needed. My dad put me in contact today with one of his co workers whose niece is 17 and 7 months pregnant and looking to put her baby up for adoption. She had potential adopters already but they pulled out because they found out the gender of the baby was a girl and they wanted a boy. Now she’s not going through and agency she wants this to be a private closed adoption. All she asked is that we pay her medical expenses and the attorney fees for processing everything. Now my question is what are some questions I need to ask the birth mother and some expectations I need to put in place. Also has anyone been through this before what kind of legal action needs to be taken? How does it all work? She’s not going through an agency so is there anything I need to do on my end to make sure this is all legally processed.
