Were you nervous for egg retrieval?

I have my first egg retrieval scheduled for tomorrow morning and I don’t know why I am so nervous tonight. I need advice. How did your egg retrievals go? Is there anything to be nervous about?

Good luck!! I was nervous about a lot of things. Going under; not knowing what they’d find, not knowing if the eggs would fertilize/grow. There are so many unknowns and I think that’s what makes this whole process difficult. Going through all this and not knowing if it will work. All you can do it keep showing up and hope for the best as hard as that is. This is a huge step though in the process!

I was really anxious about my retrieval too because of all of the unknowns. It wasn’t bad at all. I had made it into something big in my head. I didn’t even need to take any Tylenol or anything afterwards. 
Here where I live they do a conscious sedation and when it was done I was able to walk out to a recovery room. Just wear some comfy clothes, stock up on some Gatorade, and have a heating pad ready to go. 😊

I was nervous. It’s something new. There’s so much uncertainty still with how everything will work out. I wasn’t in pain after. It was just a little uncomfortable. I had ride over 2 hours after to get home. I get sick from anesthesia and ended up sick along side the interstate.  That was the worst part!

I was the most nervous about the retrieval during the entire ivf process. It ended up being super easy. Drink lots of fluids and chill out after! I felt fine enough to go out with some friends about 8 hours after my retrieval. Good luck!!!! ☘️☘️☘️

I was nervous and the clinic I went to deals with that, they gave me an anxiety pill to relax me when I got there. I was also nervous cus I was getting over a cold and had a slight cough, I was worried I couldn’t go thru with it! The anesthesiologist was ok to put me under. We ended up with 12 eggs retrieved, 10 of them matured, and 7 fertilized. 4 ended up with 4 blasts.
