Best acne medication? I’m not purchasing the right products. salicylic acid drys my face out and isn’t drying away my acne

Answer

Because you don't dry away acne. Lol. That's  not how it works at all. Acne is an infection.  You get rid of infection by cleaning it and letting your immune system take care of it. Did you know your skins immune system cannot function when you're constantly drying it out?
Stop trying to dry out your acne and start trying to TREAT it and keep it clean, while keeping your immune system up with healthy diet.

Acne specific products are a waste of time. Like you said, they just Dry skin out. It's just trying different routines and seeing what works best. You might try an oil free face wash or a foam face wash. I use Aloe Vera right after I wash my face and then vitamin E oil at bed time because moisturisers just make my skin feel clogged and I hate it. Also if you can find a nice moisturising gel and put a drop of tea tree oil in it for after washing you can do that as well. Tea tree oil helps clean and heal gently.
