Douglas as middle name for Elliana?

I find out the gender on the 15th this month but I’ve been thinking like crazy about names. If I’m having a boy I know for sure his middle name will be Douglas after my grandpa who passed 3and a half years ago. I haven’t figured out a first name yet for a boy. But I also have my heart set on Elliana for the first name of a girl. Kinda thinking about making Douglas the middle name either way. Thoughts on that?? Itd be Elliana Douglas.

It sounds like the full name to me rather than a middle name but if you love it, do it.

I think Elliana is so girly that it actually helps to balance out masculine Douglas. The meaning behind it makes it worth consideration and unless you find another meaningful name you love I'd just use Elliana Douglas.

Our little girl is due in June and we’re naming her after my father (Mack) so we went with Mackenna. Her middle name is after her godfather, Kraig, who means the world to us and is always there for us. So we can’t wait to meet Mackenna Kraig soon! Basically, your baby, your choice. We got a lot of looks when we told people her name, but we don’t care. She’s named after 2 very important people in our lives that we love and cherish. So if you want her middle name to be Douglas, then do it. She will grow up knowing she was named after someone very important and loved and carry that name.
