Did anyone's ob tell them to refrain from sex when they got pregnant with their rainbow?

I just got my positive this morning for our rainbow and my husband wants to celebrate and have sex tonight. I don't know if I'm freaking out for nothing but I am so nervous we are going to mess something up and cause another miscarriage. I haven't gotten in touch with my obgyn yet so I was wondering what you ladies were told.

Sex can’t cause a miscarriage. Miscarriage will happen whether you have sex or not, because it was already destined to occur. Most miscarriage are caused by a “defect” in the child’s creation, such as chromosomal, physical, or generally the fetus wouldn’t survive outside the womb.

My husband and i waited until i was 10 weeks with my rainbow. Im currently 16 weeks 5 days. I just didnt want to chance it. Even still, i say short prayer before we do. He was so patient and I never felt pressured by him. With my mc in 2017 we started to lose the baby just a few days after the last time we had sex. I know it likely had NOTHING to do with us having sex and i have never blamed either of us for it but it gave me cause for pause this time around.

I was literally just coming here to ask if I’m the only one who’s anxious about sex! I know it’s silly and I know sex is perfectly safe; I’ve had tons of sex in my 2 healthy pregnancies. But I’m 4w6d right now after a loss at 7 weeks in October and can’t stop feeling irrationally afraid of sex.

I understand the fear, I found out just before 4 weeks but didn’t have sex until almost 8 weeks. Our last pregnancy ended in miscarriage and I was so nervous. I was trying to wait until our first appointment but I couldn’t wait anymore lol. Everything was fine!

No.... But I started out high risk... And then after being told I'm at risk for preterm labor I was put on pelvic rest and restricted activity.

I did my 1st 2 bfps last year cause I was spotting,bleeding and clotting and ended up mc at 7 weeks with both. My doc said it wont hurt anything and qont affect anything. I'm about 6 weeks and we're holding off again cause this time I have no spotting and just wanna see an healthy heartbeat tommarow before we do it. It's been a long road and it means alot and we agree there is other ways we can please each other till then 😁
