Breastfeeding question!?

I had developed mastitis still on antibiotics for it and now I am developing clogged ducts AGAIN! I'm in so much pain! It even kills me to nurse! Should I just switch to formula I can not keep living in this much pain!

If you have a vibrator use it on your breasts on the clogged area after a hot shower and feed baby. The vibration should help things move along. Also whilst breastfeeding put pressure behind the clog and rub with your thumbs from the outside of your breast towards your nipple. Another thing you can try is laying baby on your bed and getting on all 4s and feeding baby from above and letting gravity do the work.

Check out legendairy for some great tips on how to clear and prevent clogs. They sell sunflower lecithin which helps lubricate your milk and is supposed to prevent clogs.

If you can afford a pump even just a hand pump it would help after you done nursing hand pumping and expressing would help empty you breasts

I would keep trying. Try and figure out why you are getting clogged up. 
If it keeps happening and you’re in pain a lot switch. No use being in pain and not enjoying breastfeeding.

Don’t give up! I have 5 years of breastfeeding experience and have experienced it all! Trust me, take some sunflower lecithin! It helps thin your breast milk to help clogged ducts pass. I have probably had mastitis 12 or 13 times. You can also take high doses of vitamin A and C to help with the mastitis. Echinacea is also another good herb to take to boost your immune system!
