Is 20 too young to have a baby ?

My boyfriend and I have been together 4 years. He’s ready for a child but I’m not sure we’re ready yet. He’s working , Im in my 3rd year of college and we have our own house. We plan on getting a car soon and he thinks by then we’ll have everything we need to have a baby. I need help deciding if I should act on what we want or wait.

If I were you, I would wait until you are done with college and have a job in your field of choice. That just makes the most sense to me.

I had my first 4 days shy of my 21st.  I owned a house, had one year of school left (but completed it).  It would have been easier to finish school before the baby, but other than that, I don’t have any regrets.  He’s now 22, owns a condo, graduated college and other than sometimes people ask if I’m his sister (which he hates), it was wonderful.

If you're not sure, then you're not ready.
Finish school first, before you even get pregnant. Because as soon as you get pregnant who knows what will happen. You could end up sick every day or an immediate bed rest or a bunch of other things that could get in the way of your schooling.

I’d say finish college first and have some fun as a couple of young adults. 
I’m in my 30s and I have known and seen young couples rush into it, they are friends who are now my age with teenager children and even though they live their kids they all have some regret about not having more life experiences like travelling, nights out together to go clubbing or see bands they liked, going festivals or having vacations with their friends. 
I’ve done all these things but some of my friends couldn’t coz they had babies and toddlers who obviously can’t do adult things like that.

I just got married I’m 22 and I have one year of college left. I would say wait for the baby. Finish school first. Get the car first. Enjoy being together before adding a child to the family. Things of course can be done with a baby but it’s much easier without one.

I think it’s up to what you really WANT. Personally, i was 19 when I had my son, my freshman year in college. I still finished in 4 years with honors. So its definitely possible! But that’s also because I did what I had to do (he was a surprise lol) you have the luxury of choosing. Do you feel like balancing work life and mommy life or not? You’re not wrong whatever you choose it’s just a matter of now or a little bit later. This time I’m around I’m 23, my baby was kind of planned lol & I’m in grad school. But I still chose to do what I wanted.

In my personal opinion, no you’re not too young but, I’d wait until after college and you’re completely done with school, babies are a big responsibility and it’s best to make sure you’re financially stable and can afford to take care of one. Goodluck 💗

Age has nothing to do with this. If you are creating a poll in here you aren’t ready. Don’t rush take your time. & if you do decide to start trying it can take time to get pregnant. You guys should sit down and have a conversation about how you both feel about it
