Are dockatots worth it??!!

Question

Any stories of how you use them? To cosleep? On the couch? On the go? Do you have one but still use a bassinet for nighttime? I'm debating getting one for naps throughout the day but using a bassinet or pack n play at night! FTM and clearly no clue about anything. Lol HELP

They’re only for supervised napping. They aren’t safe for sleep in the crib at night unattended.

Our daughter slept in her DockATot for naps from 0-4 months. At bedtime, she slept in a pack n play in our room. From 4 months onward, we moved naps to her pack n play/crib so we could keep that consistency. We then continued using the DockATot for travel. Once she was a toddler, we got her the larger size for lounging around the house and for travel and she still loves it :) but please don't ever put your child on a raised surface like a couch. That's highly unsafe with or without a DockATot. Ideally, it should be used on the floor instead. Also, just as a side note, there have been zero infant deaths from a DockATot. Another user mentioned that and I just wanted to clear up that false comment.

YES!!! we’ve had a deluxe and a grand! 
My youngest will not sleep without it and it was the only way to get him into the bassinet. We’ve travelled with ours used it for everything I’ll be buying another when we have our next for sure!! 
Also please don’t comment your advice on safe sleeping etc I’m really not interested in hearing your opinion. We’ve been safe it’s safe for us and works.

They are a glorified dog bed that isn’t safe for sleep. 🤷🏻‍♀️

They are DEFINITELY worth it!👌🏾 We never used ours as a co-sleeper because we did not want to start the habit of bedsharing. We kept it downstairs in our living room for naps during the day. We also had the SnuggleMe Organic, Baby Delight Snuggle Nest, and Snuggle Nest Traveler. All if those items are good, but the Dockatot is much better. Once she outgrew the Dockatot Deluxe, we purchased the Dockatot Grand! The Dockatot is DEFINITELY worth the money!👍🏾

I had one on my registry and ended up removing it after all the stories about babies suffocating in one. I guess that’s why bumpers are not safe either.

Check that they comply with safe sleeping. Generally speaking a baby should never sleep on the sofa, only in a cot or Moses basket that meets the safety requirements. I would say read the Lullaby Trust safe sleeping check list and then find a product you like that complies with the list :) x
