I was on my period for 20 days lol I took it out after three months of getting it in . The doctor gave me bc pills while on the implant to stabilize my period so maybe ask your doctor for birth control pills

Irregular bleeding is the most common side effect with the implant including heavier and prolonged bleeding especially the first 6 to 12 months.
