Pad rash?

Has anyone ever gotten pad rash? I got my period on Friday and this is unusual but I am red swollen sore and irritated from pad rash.. i think..I am also itching and burning. Sigh. Any advice?  It only showed up as I got my period.. I wore this really tight jeans shorts on Friday when it started so I'm thinking ths t may be it but I need a remedy. I've tried everything and it's making me wanna tear up in frustration

I had to switch brands of pads when that happened. It’s the “scents” some brands use

Beware of pads I have had issue in the past accidentally buying the scented liners ... and strange remedy from my child pediatrician desitin mixed with Malox and hydrocortisone cream

Id say try tripple cream (diaper rash cream) found if works better than desitin. That is one reason ive been using cloth pads. Ill wear a regular pad day 1( my heaviest day) and then cloth the rest.

Pad rash is real. It's like diaper rash. It sucks. I don't know what ointments if any will help, but using tampons and other internal period products eliminates the problem. When you get off of your period, just make sure to be gentle with the area and wear soft underwear and comfortable clothing.
