Not the same person

Dont get me wrong, I love my baby more then life itself.. and everyday I could cry thinking about how much love I have for one person. But its almost been 3 months since birth and I'm still leaking lochia. I have worn a pad every day for 3 effing months.

I wake up in the middle of the night for feedings and I'm drenched from the night sweats.

I recently started the pill again after not being on it for 10 years. Oh I'm allergic to it so I've been itching my skin off for the last 5 days waiting for it to leave my system.

My thumb is killing me from picking up my child.. carpol tunnel?

And my emotions are all over the place.

I now have high blood pressure after birth and I've never ever had that problem.

Our bodies go through so much for such an amazing experience... but when do we go back to normal?!

3 months PP and still bleeding is an awfully long time. Have you talked to your doctor about it?

Are you sure it’s not the pill that’s causing you problems? Within 2 days after starting the mini pill I started bleeding. For over 2 weeks. Just after my actual period ended. Which was twice as long as I’m used to. Since taking the mini pill ive been as moody as a teenager hitting puberty. I get sweaty and feel heavy all the time. Your symptoms sound quite similar

I had lochia until 8 weeks pp with both of my babies but had two different dr’s. One didn’t seem concerned whereas this second time my dr said we should definitely do testing if it went beyond 8 weeks to test hormones and/or see if any placenta is left in there. I STRONGLY recommend getting checked out. That’s a long time. While strange things do happen in this case it’s best to be safe than sorry. Also, I had pretty painful carpal tunnel with my first and mild with my second. It eventually went away on its own thank goodness!

Mini pill made me feel like crap. I discontinued but I also have high BP now, doctor said don’t take the pill now anyway. I had carpal tunnel while I was pregnant, now it’s way better.

I always read that it takes 40 weeks to create our babies, so give urself and body 40 weeks to recover. Hang in there mama
