Would you still be a stay at home mom if day care was free?

This is aimed at stay at home moms, obviously. So I see for a lot of people the main reason they stay at home is because of day care fees. Where I live day care is taxfunded and you only pay a small fee. Because of this, staying at home with your child once they reach the age where they can be put in day care (can only put children over 1 in day care, before that you get parental leave) is frowned upon/not seen as normal or necessary. If you had access to "free" day care, would you still choose to be a stay at home mom? Why, or why not?
