What if I go into labor early?

Hi, I have a scheduled c-section at 39 weeks but I’m just wondering what would happened if I went into labor early? Anyone have any experience with this happening?

My water broke 3 days before my scheduled CS. We just went to the hospital and they checked me and did the CS. It was very calm and peacefully. Not stressful or anything. It all worked out. The only thing was I didn’t get the doctor I planned to have do it. He was out of town. But the on call doctor was probably the most experienced doctor (I live in a very small town one hospital) and did an incredible job. ♥️

With my last pregnancy, my (2nd) c-section was scheduled,  i went into labor the day before...  they just rushed me into a c-section, my scheduled c-section became an emergency c-section...   now u must remember that every situation is different... i must have a c-section,  i cant go into labor/ have contractions, due to risk of rupture, due to the type of incision i had to have with my 1st c-section...

I went into labor about 36 hours before my scheduled c-section🤦‍♀️ I just waited long enough to know for a fact I was in labor, went to the hospital, and they gave me the choice to try a vbac or go ahead with the planned c. I opted for a repeat c-section, and baby arrived about 45 minutes later!

Thank you everyone for the replies I really appreciate it. I’m getting my tubes tied along with my c-section so I really don’t want to have a vaginal birth not to mention it’s super scary because of uterine rupture even though that might be rare. Crossing my fingers he waits until 39 weeks 😍

I was talking to my doctor today about it I was asking for my c-section to be the 20th and my du date is the 22nd she agreed to do it on the date that I wanted and just told me if I go into labor to go straight to the ER and that I would have plenty of time that it wouldn't be an emergency c-section and I've had 3 previously and she said I would have plenty of time

I went into labor two days before my scheduled c section. I ended up giving birth naturally. It happened really fast lol
