Shaving, Waxing, or good old 70s bush?

My boyfriend, likes the weeds wacked. I'm don't care either way but I hate spending all the time shaving and tried self waxing  I never let it go full on chewbaca I trim the trees at the very least awkward bald patch surrounded by stable cause I couldn't will myself to finish and just ended up shaving) should I just give in and get a professional to stare into the abyss and remove the awkward hairs around it? What do y'all think?
