How to help My 10 year old

So yesterday was p/t conferences amd my 10 year olds teacher told me my daughter is completely unorganized and irresponsible with forgetting homework and whats needed for her class everyday. Then on top of it her spelling is horrible she cant even spell the most basic words. I knew about the spelling and have been trying to help her but nothing seems to work. I was hoping that maybe someone else had some better ideas. I asked her teacher what i should do and he didn't Have anything to say.

So if theres anyone whos willing to help id truly appericate it. I feel like im failing her :(
