in a way he's not wrong. it's very smart and shows maturity to me. 
he not just going to piss away his life on any girls. hes showing commitment to school so better education.
his family, and that is always a plus to see a guy close with them. 
and he won't get anywhere in life with out a good work habit 👍

I think it depends on what kind of relationship u have. If u r in high school then this is perfect! But if u r at a stage in ur life that u r looking for a spouse then that person should be at the same level as family.

It would only bother me if we were like family. If we’re married and he says that that’s kinda messed up cuz I’m family then, but otherwise he’s right. I mean it also depends on the situation like if you really really really need him he should drop something like skip work if you’re in the hospital. Otherwise he’s right

Well, love isn't going to pay the bills or give you an education so I agree there. Family is a different thing though, but if he says that he probably has a really good family dynamic. So for the most part I'd say he's right.
