I’ve had cysts burst before. Multiple times. And it’s excruciating pain. Maybe 6,7 hours at most though. Recently I was hospitalized for the most excruciating pain I have ever been in. I went hours feeling like my stomach was bloated and sharp pain shot into my abdomen.

I woke up around 2am to a feeling of pain in my chest. Breathing too hard sent sharp pain into my abdomen. I went 15 hours before finally going to emergency room. I couldn’t imagine what this pain was considering a cyst bursting had never been this bad. They checked everything. Appendix. Gallbladder. Nothing. Only after I kept insisting something was wrong they sent me for a CT and found I had a torqued ovary (twisted). I would possibly need emergency surgery. They also found I had multiple cysts burst in abdomen causing severe internal bleeding. They put me on extremely heavy pain meds. They attempted to relax my body, my muscles to stop contracting so I would relax enough for the ovary to possibly untwist itself being a free floating organ . They flushed my system. I vomited all night after being admitted. No food in stomach feeling deathly ill. Days later I am doing better. Ovary seemed to have untwisted. Just lots of healing of the cysts bursting this time around.

Bottom line ladies if you know there is something wrong with your body do not settle. I’ve had many doctors send me home when I was in excruciating pain. And this time if I hadn’t pushed for them to keep searching for a reasoning behind the pain I could have died. Keep fighting ladies.
