I had a repeat c-section in July of 2014. Mine was a bikini cut so they used the same place. I also had a stretch mark right there so he took out an inch of skin before sewing me up. They usually have to take out any scar tissue that you have from the previous one.

I had a bikini cut from the previous c-section. With my 2nd one, they cut in the exact same spot. If you have scar tissue from the previous one they cut it out so it heals faster. My doctor felt the need to take an inch out of my skin because I had a stretch mark right by my incision and he couldn't stitch me up perfectly with the stretch mark there. So it was kind of like a tiny tummy tuck! After everything was done, he gave me stitches and staples so it would heal faster. Then you get the staples out 3 days later. I healed a lot faster with my 2nd c-section than I did wth my first.
