Was my tech wrong?

Question

Had a early ultrasound today and the tech said I’m measuring 5 weeks exactly. When based of my LMP I should be 5+5 or 6 weeks. I’m in a Facebook group and other ladies are posting theirs and mine looks the exact same as theirs at 5+5 not 5 weeks. Was she wrong??

Answer

The machine is the one that generates the weeks and days based on the measurements. I measured a week behind at my 9 week 3 day appointment and when I had my next ultrasound I was only measuring a few days behind. It’s normal to measure up to 6 days behind early in pregnancy. (From what my OB said)
