How many miscarriages did you have to have before you doctor did anything?

I’m currently on MC number 2 and I have an appt on the 14th to see why I can’t hold a baby. The longest I held a baby was for 9 weeks then the second was only 4weeks. I just want my baby!!

I had 2 and my doctor supported me in seeing a reproductive endocrinologist. My family friend growing up has been an obgyn for 40ish years and I asked his opinion too. He said he would suggest I go after two because really scientifically there is no difference between two and three or basically it is like an “old school” way of looking at it to say you need to have three.  So I listened to both of them and went to an RE. It was the best thing for me. I ended up doing IVF with PGS testing. I’m sorry for your losses. Mine were similar. Both missed miscarriages. One at 11 weeks one at 8.5. Babies stopped growing at about 8 and 7 weeks.

I had 2 and my doctor didn’t do any extensive testing because she said mine were so different from each other and my body never started the process on its own. I’m now pregnant with number 3 and it seems to be going well for now so don’t give up!
