If you’ve taken Zoloft, did it help make things better?

That was the first step,  but also talking to someone you trust(or a counselor, again though, that you trust)helped a lot.  And once I started getting out a little.  Admitting there is something not right and asking for help is the first things you can do to start making yourself feel better.  I hope you feel better soon.

For me it made things worse! On it I was suicidal & homicidal! Mood swings galore! Worse drug EVER FOR ME!! Now my friend is on it & it works WONDERS for her. So I guess it depends on your body!

Yes, but... It started giving me the shakes. My soc switched me to Celexa. Its in the same family as Zoloft. So far the only side effects I've had have been sleepiness and appitite issues for the first week and some really weird dreams. Ive been on it for about 6 months now.

Made me way worse ! Not only did suicide become on my mind on a daily I started to act upon those thoughts but hey everyone is different

Yes it helps/works for me. The only thing I’ve noticed since starting it again is that I have tremors (shaking). Before, I had loss of appetite (still have that but I just make sure I eat every few hours) & was tired a lot for the first few weeks. If I still have tremors in the next few weeks I’m gonna probably switch to something else but I’ll see if it subsides first.

I am currently taking 200 mg of Zoloft and it’s helping me honestly. The only thing I hate is not being able to cry when I want to.

Ts gave me the shakes. Prozac worked but gave me an upset stomach everyday for 4 years, lexipro gave me shakes and nightmares, Wellbutrin made me feel off, I’m on Effexor and so far so good!

So personally I prefer wellbutrin but sertraline helped as well. The only way to know what medication qorks best is to try it.
