Ruddy Complexion

So my son was born 2.5 days ago and we immediately noticed his skin is DARK red. Not when he's crying. It's dark red all the time. Family members keep asking what's wrong with his skin and though at first I thought it was normal, it's still not letting up and everyone else's kids that are being born (March 2019 group) look normal. The doctor said he has a ruddy complexion and it should be better by one to two months, which honestly has me upset because I feel like his newborn pictures next week are going to be affected (I have been planning this shoot since before I was even pregnant) since most of the props are green and green amplifies red. Has anyone else had a baby with skin like this and has it gone away quickly? He's also been diagnosed with jaundice and is under the blue lights, but the red has been noticeable from birth. I read it can be a sign of some health problems, so I'm really anxious.
