BV common with IUD ?

Question

I’ve had BV 5 (maybe 6 times now because I’ve self diagnosed myself) with BV since January 2018 . Each tine I’ve been prescribed pill antibiotics & at this point I’m very annoyed with it . When my 2 year check up comes around I plan to discuss another option because I’m tired of getting it. I’ve even taken probiotics for 6 months straight 
Would like to share similar stories.

It’s interesting that you say that. I’ve had my IUD since August and have had BV 3 times now. I’m getting it out soon anyway but this makes me wonder if it’s the IUD.

Omgg I thought I was the only one who thought this mine hasn’t gone away 2 weeks already I bought BV cream for three days inside and it’s still there my vigina “””lips””” are severely swollen and red they just hurt so much and itchy I scratch so bad I make myself bleed nothing is helping

I had the paragard for nearly 10 years before my first kid and had BV maybe once in that time. I’ve had the mirena after my kid for a year and a half and no BV. I don’t really think that the IUD has anything to do with BV. I think it’s just a coincidence. But you should definitely seek medical help in taking preventative measures
