At 35w,4d...

Severe Braxton Hicks started yesterday. Began to time them at 1:30pm and by 4:30pm, it was very consistent 6-10 minutes. We get to maternity about 5:30pm. Contractions are about 2-3 minutes! Hooked me up to some fluids, which tended to slow it down just a bit...but not enough. They checked my membranes, fluid, etc. all negative. But I’m 1cm,60%!!!!

By 4am, it’s just getting worse. They give me meds through the IV that will help me and baby relax/sleep a bit. Well, boy did it ever! *side story: I was cracking up with the nurse later about this...as soon as she pushed those meds, I instantly saw Mickey and Minnie Mouse 😂 just why?! LOL so random. told her I’ve never done drugs but if that’s what an acid trip is like...good lorddd 😂😂😂

Only for about 45 minutes it knocked me out then woke up with the contractions again. Rechecked cervix 5am...no progress.

Dr finally came in at 8am and sent us home to wait it out. Rather be in my own bed anyway if I’m just stuck at 1cm! It’s so exciting and scary at the same time. Like I said to my husband “this is just 1cm closer to meeting her!” Lol
