Thinking of joining the navy

So, I’m thinking really seriously about joining the navy once I get my associates degree. However, a lot of people in my life are really worried about how the military is for women. Especially with the high sexual assault rates. I’m looking for some insight from those of you who know what it’s really like for women in the military. Some real honest truth about it all.

So, what’s your advice? Do you think it’s worth the risk? What has your experience been in the military as women?
