I have a question about child support. So my daughters father was put on child support by my state because I was receiving state assistance at the time. He started paying when my daughter was a couple months old. He wasn’t working then but they still made him pay $265 a month. He was paying my state back so I was never receiving the payments at the time. When I stop receiving the state assistance they started mailing me his support payments . To get into everything , he lives in a different state he goes months without seeing her little 6 to 7 months without seeing her , he doesn’t help with anything and when I do asked for something he says to take it out his child support. He’s now in a long distance relationship with some girl he met at his job , he makes every excuse as to why he can’t be involved in our 3 year old daughters life , but he makes sure he travels to see this new girl friend or he will pay for her to travel to him. The girl lives 7 hours from him which is the same distance as my daughter is from him. And it’s always a issue when i asked for him to see her more often . It’s not about him getting into a relationship it’s the simple fact that you will get into a long distance relationship and make every effort there is to make it work but can’t do the same for his own child. He works 2 jobs he’s still paying $265 a month which i don’t think is enough. The payments are being taking out of his paychecks every month , my question finally is how can I get the payments raised? Or is there noting i can do about it. Also I need some positive advise, cause I absolutely am frustrated with dealing with his nonsense
