Empty sac

I just went to do an ultrasound today, I was supposed to be 10 weeks and the tech told me she didn’t see a fetus, she did the internal scan and said the gestational sac was empty. Two weeks ago I had some spotting and went the the emergency room to have it checked. The dr said he thought I was implantation bleeding and checked my cervix and it was closed(although I thought it was odd I didn’t have any morning sickness or sore boobs). This is my first miscarriage I have two children from a previous relationship. The dr did call me and said if I don’t start bleeding in 2-3 weeks I will have another ultrasound and then a D&C I’m devastated and don’t know how to cope.
