Still no period after D and C...

I had a missed miscarriage in January and ended up getting a D and C on Jan 22nd. I bled for about a week after the procedure. I haven't gotten my period since. This coming week will be week 7 and still no period. I did have slightly sore breasts and one day a few days ago (not sore amymore) and severe pelvic pain that only last 20 minutes, but that has also subsided. I called the doctor and she doesn't seem concerned. She told me to wait until week 8 and If I still haven't gotten my period to call. I am starting to get concerned I may have Asherman's Syndrome? Anyone here familiar with that disease or have a similar experience waiting this long for a period??

P.s. Also I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. There really is no way I could be pregnant. I had unprotected sex one time 2 weeks after the procedure and no more since that one time.

I finally started my period at exactly 7 weeks!! I have never been so happy to see AF. 🤣
