1st or 2nd day?🤔

Question

Hi,
I came on my period about 10pm-ish last night (Friday). Do I count Friday as my “1st day” of period or today (Saturday)? Sorry if this is a silly question I just want to be as accurate as possible for ovulations as were struggling to conceive at the moment.

Our RE says if you start after 5pm and it’s full flow that’s CD1, if heavy flow starts during sleep or the next morning that is in fact CD1. For me though, I always put my start date when I see blood of any kind. Mines been heavy the past few months since our Ectopic, so it’s easier for me to count it whether morning or evening flow
