Is it bad to want to buy stuff for an announcement even though you haven’t gotten a positive yet?

As someone who has tried for years, it would depress me. I’d see the stuff and want to cry knowing it hasn’t been my time yet. 
When I first started trying 3 years ago, I wanted to go to Disney to get mouse ears embroidered that said baby #1 since that’s how I plan to do my announcement with my dogs next to it but I stopped myself and decided I’d wait for positive. Thank god I did since years have gone by with no luck. 
I’ll be thrilled when it finally happens and I can run to Disney to get those ❤️
