My husbands name is Charles(i call him Charlie), our son will be named Charles(but i prefer Charlie). What do I call my Husband once the baby arrives?

I usually just call my husband “babe” or Charlie, its weird thinking about calling him anything else like Charles...seems so formal and regal. I guess I could call him dad around our son when he arrives, but do I call my husband Dad all the time now? When I was a kids, I always thought it was weird when my parents called each other by their real names instead of Mom and Dad. Out in public, I dont know what to call them to differentiate the two. Call my husband Charles because hes the senior, and call my son Charlie because he is the junior? Not a fan of Chuck so no thanks on that one. Calling my son Junior seems like something I would only call him only in a jokey kind of way, not all the time. I dont know...what do you guys think?

My husbands grandpa is Charles, his uncle Charles Jr. he goes by Chuck, and his son who is Charles Jr. the third goes by CJ.

My parents never called each other by terms of endearment like honey, sweetie or babe when I was growing up. It seems weird to me to call my husband “babe” in front of our kid, but I think thats only because I never experienced it as a kid, but it probably isn’t weird at all though right? Like, it probably seems really sweet and loving to your kid right? And it probably just shows your kid that you guys love each other right? 
Im suddenly realizing that it was probably weirder that my parents never called each other sweetie or honey or anything.

My husband is a Second and our son is the third. We call our son sj because his middle name is John and I didn’t want three Stevens lol. His dad is Steve. I call my husband Steven but most other people call him steve as well.

My mom and I have the same name but her nickname was always Mimi and I always used my full name at home. When someone is addressing us both by Mary Ellen they usually use my middle name.
