Where did you give birth? Would you choose a different birth setting next time?

I had a natural hospital birth last September and I was really happy with my experience. I was worried that I would have to fight for all the natural things I wanted (no episiotomy, skin to skin, delayed cord clamping, delayed bath, etc.) But I didn't at all, all those things were standard. There were 2 rooms that had jacuzzi tubs for the moms going natural and the tub was a-mazing. I think it depends on your OB or midwife and the hospital itself. Some will be better than others. Also, I came prepared to fight off any nurses that wanted me to change my plan and had my husband and sister to back me up while I was in labor land 😝

I have had 3 home births. I don’t ever want a hospital birth as it’s awesome to just stay home and be relaxed. I have helped with some hospital births and they were awesome to. Just different as they are not quiet as relaxing but they are extremely helpful and attentive

I wish wish WISH we had a birthing center where I live. Right now, all I can manage as far as comfort is a hospital that looks like a hotel room, but they support my natural wishes etc...

I had a complicated, stressful and dangerous hospital birth and an amazing, euphoric and perfect home birth.

After a long thought process we went to hospital with a very specific birth plan that they 100% respected and fulfilled. Ultimately it was the "what if" and knowing that if annnnnnything went wrong (anythings possible) they would have nicu or emergency services right then and there. Never risk it. 
The room was amazing too!

Two wonderful birth center babies here. I liked the combo of homey and hospital. Plus, I know myself well enough to realize I would have been too distracted at home to be comfortable giving birth.

I had a hospital birth, and even though everything went really well and I had the natural birth I wanted, I did wish I was in a more relaxing environment and felt more supported by the health professionals present. So, whenever I have my next child, I'm planning to seek midwife care rather than an OB and, assuming everything is healthy/low risk, will more than likely opt for a birth center. 
I really think I'd love to do a home birth, but I know my husband wouldn't be totally comfortable with it. I know I'm the one who will actually be giving birth, but it is important to me that he feels good about our plan, too, and I think a birth center could be a great compromise.
