Anyone else have a Philtrum/Medusa piercing??

Hey ladies! I got my philtrum done almost 9 months ago at a very reputable and sanitary shop in downtown Nashville. It healed pretty well, and the crusties stopped after about 3 or 4 months. Now, they've started back up again. They're light yellow/white, meaning it's not an infection, but I have no idea what is causing it. I wake up each morning and have thick lymph boogers on my labret bar and it's just really irritating because I have no idea why it's happening! I know these piercings are finicky and I really love it and want to keep it for a few years at least 😭

I've honestly never heard of a philtrim producing flim after its healed. Mine stopped after a few weeks. It sounds like your body may be rejecting it or you may be allergic to the body jewelry.

I am naturally rediculously sensitive to every peircing I've ever had no matter the material and I have one that I have a labret in. It took two years of cleaning 2x daily to make my body accept it. Be sure your mouth hygiene is rock star as well :)

You need to clean it better. Mine never does that I never even cleaned it once I got it. It just healed and was done. Even changed the ring before I was suppose to. And gauged it and un gauged it.
