Advice please!

MacKenzie

So I just finished my last pack of pills about a month ago. My husband and I are not yet officially trying for a baby as I want to see how my periods and cycles are without it. I was on the pill for 8 years. We are hoping to start trying in October. While on the pill my period was every 28 days like clockwork and I'm currently a few days past that. (No I am not pregnant). I'm assuming it is because my body is trying to regulate itself. From my first period it was pretty regular. In high school I had a lot of stress and wouldn't get a period for several months at a time so I started the pill. I'm wondering if I should just give it time or if I should use ovulation tests and check CM in preparation for actually trying later this year? Or should I wait and just not worry about it until we officially start trying?
