Vision trouble??

Question

Has anyone else experienced any vision changes since becoming pregnant? I've been experiencing floaters, spots, blurred vision and flashing lights. I told my doctor about it but he's been brushing it off since the beginning. Been having these issues since the first few weeks. I am 34 weeks now.

Me too!!!! And my doctor has been brushing it off as well!! Is seriously concerning to me!! Sometimes it's really really bad, and I worry about my blood pressure. They just tell me to go see an eye doctor

I was told that some vision changes are possible during pregnancy due to hormonal changes. Read it in What to Expect and I asked the Dr and he said it's fine especially since my BP in normal, I don't have excessive swelling, and there isn't any protein in my urine. So just talk to your doctor and if they aren't too concerned then don't worry about it! Pregnancy manifests different for everyone and everything can be a sign of something, it's the entire clinical picture that matters!

That can be a sign of pre eclampsia. You should definetly consult your doctor.

It may be ocular migraines. When do these things usually show up?

I experienced the same thing in the beginning of my pregnancy I still get the floaters here and there but I also see the flashing lights like silver speckles I have 20/20 vision and my vision was starting to blur as well this worried me but everything has returned to normal now I'm 31 wks hopefully you'll be back to seeing normal as well pretty soon

He needs to address this because it can be a sigh of preeclampsia.  How have your blood pressures been?

I have had a couple floaters in my vision throughout my pregnancy. My doc said its normal. I also read that your vision prescription can change during pregnancy and to wait until after birth to reevaluate your vision needs
