Why doesn’t anyone like my art?

My dream is to become a professional artist, maybe do concept art for movies, but whenever I show someone my art they usually don’t care or point out the flaws. I’m not saying I’m a great artist or have any real talent but some things I work so hard on and am really proud of, people don’t really like.

For example, this is something I did last night. I sent it to one of my friends who likes the movie it’s from and showed it to my family but they just brushed it off and changed the subject. I don’t need attention or approval, I just need someone to tell me what it is I’m doing wrong. I mean I’m only 14. I still have room for improvement before turning it into a career but I’m just getting so frustrated.

Some people just don’t understand and probably don’t want to critique you as to not hurt your feelings. I get that you want to know if there’s any need for improvement, but not everyone will tell you. As an artist, I know how this is and yes - it’s very underwhelming. But the way I see it all, this drawing or whatever else you created as well, represents you. This is your style, and if nobody likes it, then screw them. This is you. Look over the drawing and see what work needs to be done, I do that all the time as I would think that my style isn’t enough and I would try to add anything I could to boost the drawing. I understand what that's like. People responded quite similarly to my art when I was your age. But you know what? I'm impressed by this. The nose and shading around that portion of the face looks great and the subtle expression in the eyebrows is really beautifully captured. The piece overall also displays a great depth of emotion and movement and I recognized who it was immediately, which is one of the most important aspects of drawing a well known human. 
As far as things that could use further reflection, the proportions of the mouth and jawline are a bit off, the shading along the right side of the jawline is a bit heavy, and the line work in the hair needs to be cleaned up. Overall though,  this drawing is rather well done and demonstrates that you have a lot of potential, especially considering how young you are. It's actually better than what many people I know who have actually studied art in college could do. 
And for the record, drawing humans is hard. I'm 26, have been drawing since I was old enough to hold a pencil and I still can't draw or paint human hair/ hands to save my life. I also have a close friend who makes his living as a professional portrait artist. He's in his thirties and still struggles with body proportions. He studies photographs of people in various types of lighting, refers to other artists work and practices until he figures it out.  
You don't have to be perfect, no one is. Artists are always growing and learning, including the professionals. You are developing some real skill here and see already are giving the impression of a unique style. I fully believe that you can achieve your dream of becoming a great concept artist. You are already well on your way. I'd really love to see the other things you've created. 
No matter what anyone says, don't give up on your dreams. Keep drawing and you are going to get there. 💜

I'm 18 but I can't draw anything half as good as this😂
Everyone is not capable of appreciating all the different art forms ...
Happened with me when I was pretty young n I just left drawing after being hurt a lot.
But u are amazing. I think u should join some online art related groups on SNSs. They are really supportive and give amazing advices for improvement too. They have helped me a lot since I picked up drawing again😊

As an artist myself you just can’t take one person opinion so seriously. It’s about what you think is good or not. Sometimes I’ll create a beautiful piece and my family brushes it off because I make so many pieces and there just used to it. Or it’s just not their taste. Don’t take it to heart. You are great at what you do. Don’t let anyone tell you less than what you believe

Don't think about why other people may or may not like it and do your art out of a place of love. Do it for yourself not others. If you love it, enjoy it, why should anyones opinion matter if it's what you love?

I'm 19 ive got 5 years on you, but dont give up ive turned my skills into a side job. And ive helped train friends to heighten their skills or we challenge each other to draw offs and let the public judge and point out work to be done and we work our butts off to master the challenge and we always win.

Friends and family are your harshest critics. Mine do the same so take as a challenge to keep going. I do and I do alot of art work i design tattoos for people to give to the artist for a good concept of what they want before hand because the client loves my style but not the artists. I'm working on my cert. So I dont do the ink myself.
