My almost 3 year old is TERRIFIED of dogs.

About a year ago, my daughter got jumped up on by an excited chihuahua puppy. Not in an aggressive way, I think it just wanted to lick her face. But because she was little, the puppy pushed her over and scratched her a bit unintentionally on her one arm. I picked her up right away and carried her the rest of the time we were at that one friend's place, but the damage was done. She is terrified of all dogs now, besides my mom's (a big german shepherd mix, go figure 😅). We've introduced her to friend's dogs before, big, little, all friendly. I've showed her how I pet the dogs, explained that they're nice like my mom's and won't hurt her, but she won't go near them. If they get close to her she screams at them to please leave her alone and sobs uncontrollably. There is just so much fear! We were at a friend's house yesterday and they have an old pug mix and even after being around her for a couple hours it didn't get better and my friend put the dog in a different room because my daughter was so terrified. She is so good with my mom's dog (Ace). She's very gentle and we've taught her to respect animals and everything, and she's always supervised when she's with them. Besides the one bad experience with the chihuahua a year ago, there's no other reason she's this scared of dogs. What can I do to make her more comfortable with them? Here's her tucking Ace in because he was 'cold' and sharing her snack with him because it's adorable! I call her my little mama because she's such a nurturer. ❤
