Exposed to strong drain cleaner fumes..
I'm 36 weeks pregnant FTM and made a big boo-boo. I've been having difficulty with our kitchen sink not draining properly.. this put a huge damper on my need to nest since the dishes are piling up. I poured drain cleaner in the sink about a day and a half ago and followed the instructions for flushing the pipes after the proper amount of time. It seemed to help some but not enough. So today I went out and got more thinking it was just a difficult clog... Unfortunately they didn't have the same brand so I grabbed a different one; I know, I know BIG mistake. Well I poured it in and used the plunger and it bubbled up with foam and a really strong chemical smell. I immediately walked out of my kitchen and started opening windows in hopes to ventilate the area. Both my wife and I definitely felt it in our chests.. difficulty taking a deep breath, coughing, and burning. My question is: should I go to the hospital or should I wait to see if the symptoms persist? What damage can this do to the baby?
