Can someone help? *medical emergency*
So story time,
About 2 months ago I went on the pill and everything was fine until about 3 weeks ago I got extreme abdominal pain which thought was a pulled stomach muscle so I went to the doctors and she did a urine test and said I didnt have an infection and gave me some muscular pain relief.
A week after that the pain hasn’t gone and I’d been at work all day in pain and when I got home my mum took my temperature and said it was extremely high, even though I felt freezing so I went to the emergency doctors and she said I had an infection and she thought it was a kidney infection and gave me antibiotics.
2 days later I was in extreme pain around 10:00pm so my parents called 111 and they told told me to go to the emergency doctor at the hospital, he diagnosed me with appendicitis and said I needed to speak to the surgeons and go straight to the children’s ward (I’m 17 so I had the choice) and he though id need surgery.
After speaking to the surgeons and taking blood tests they concluded that they didn’t think I had apendicitis but the blood tests showed there was a inflammation in my blood and raised white blood cells (i didn’t know what they meant) so they kept me in hospital for 48 hours on a drip while I was still in pain with no further knowledge as to why.
They did a ultra sound scan and saw that there was fluid in my ?pelvis? Which could indicate a burst cyst on my ovaries but they surgeons couldn’t tell what was causing the pain and because I didn’t have a fever anymore they said I can go home.
The pain isnt as bad as it was before I went into hospital but I’m definitely not 100% but I’m also 20 days late for my period as I stopped taking the pill as soon as I came out of hospital fearing that it might be causing the pain but your meant to come on straight after coming off the pill right? But none the less I was due 15 days ago and I’ve taken 2 pregnancy tests and both say negative.
Sorry this is such a long post I would really appreciate anyone’s advice on the matter, no one seems to have an ideas as to what the pain was or why I haven’t come on my period yet, can anyone help? X
