My son is almost 1 month and we’ve been EBF until yesterday when I broke down for being practically immobile all day from a constantly hungry and fussy baby. My husband gave him one of the sample formulas we have while I napped and baby seemed to take it well (“he inhaled it” were the words used). So tonight when he woke up hungry, he fed well and knocked out. He kept making strange squealing sounds (he does these normally though) and I realized he threw up everything he ate. Could it be due to formula or could it be unrelated? I feel like he spits up fresh feeds when he’s pressing his body for a poop but I’m not sure if that’s what happened.
