When did you put your baby in a stroller without their car seat?

It’s been awhile since this has been something I had to think about, but I can’t seem to remember when I did it with my older kids. 
When did/will you put your baby directly into the stroller?

Once they could hold their head up pretty well, which was about 3-4 months, then I made sure the shoulder straps would help keep them upright, but I would still recline it so they wouldn’t just flop over if they got tired.

Since he was born we have the ones that lay back that are ment to grow with them

I have a carry cot on the pram for a newborn and up to 6 months. After that it adjusts to a stroller style. They will be moved from the car seat into their carry cot from birth. It’s not recommended that small babies spend any more time in a car seat than they have to as being sat upright can make it harder to keep their airways open before they can properly support their head and they shouldn’t sleep in it once you’ve finished your car journey (unless you have one that you can adjust to a safe horizontal sleeping position) so if you want a car seat you can attach to a pram base then you’ll need to find one that meets the safety standards :) x

We did around 6 months when she could sit up well on her own and we switched to a convertible car seat.

When they can sit up. If they can sit in a high chair, I would do it.

Once he could sit up on his own.  We have a travel system, so we kept him in the carseat for as long as possible for the convenience. Then when he got big and interested in participating with the rest of the world, we swapped!

If your stroller can lay completely flat and has a 5 point harness you can do so since birth. Mine had a cushion insert to make sure the head and smaller body is secure.

Ours lays flat Ive only used the seat version when I know I’m going to be out for few hours as baby shouldn’t be in car seat longer then 2hrs.. used it from birth when we been out for the day..

I put him in it at 12 months because that’s when he was at the size my stroller recommended
