Braxton hicks or contractions ?

How would you describe  Braxton hicks ? Not sure If the sharp uncomfortable pain I'm getting near my cervix  are contractions or Braxton hicks . Earlier today I experienced a brown light red mucus coming out my vagina when I went to the restroom. Started getting these pains about 4am.

BH are typically not painful. You can feel it tightening but that's about it. There's no rythem or consistency to them. And you're not supposed to have more than 6-8 an hour.

If you get up, stretch, walk around, or change positions, do they go away or get less painful? From what I hear, that's the biggest difference- Braxton-Hicks contractions go away.
