Do I need two strollers?

Question

I will be a first time mom and going pretty heavy one the registry items. I will be registering for a stroller travel system, but should I also register for a jogging stroller? I’m not planning on going on any rough terrains, but will hopefully be walking a lot with baby on a paved path in a park across the street. Or any recommendations for a better travel system that accommodates for a lot of walking? Currently registered for the Graco Modes Travel System ($350) and the Baby trend expedition RG Jogger stroller ($120).

Instead of a travel system, maybe register for a carseat & jogger separately. You can also put on the registry adapters so that the carseat sits into the jogger too.

I think you should put one on the registry and buy the other yourself. I’d probably put the cheaper one on the registry because I’m a weirdo and feel bad when people buy things for me, especially expensive things 🤦🏾‍♀️

I bought a nice stroller that could be used on different terrains, and I also bought a car seat that could click into our stroller with an adapter. Our second stroller is a lightweight travel stroller. 
If you think you would prefer using the jogging stroller for a longer period than the stroller that comes as part of your travel system, then just buy the jogging stroller and an adapter to use an infant seat. Usually Graco won’t work with other brands, but you could register for a Chicco car seat, Maxi Cosi, Nuna, etc. This seems less wasteful. I do recommend buying or registering for a lightweight travel stroller, like an Uppababy Minu, Babyjogger City Tour, Zoe XLC, Babyzen Yoyo, Mountain Buggy Nano, etc because it’s handy sometimes to have a lighter stroller, especially once your baby is a little older.

Register for a jogger travel system! We love our babytrend expedition travel system. Jogger stroller with air-filled tires like a bike. Durable, sturdy, easy to fold and maneuver. Zero complaints about it

We have both systems! Hubby uses the jogger one because it’s taller so he doesn’t have to bend over when pushing and honestly more manly looking! We also love the flexibility of having two car seats!

Maybe try getting a jogging travel system so you can put the car seat in the stroller i preferred my jogger so much easier to maneuver

I have four strollers. I know it’s crazy but I had my kids 20 months apart and this baby will be 21 months apart from my second so this is what I have and actually use too. We travel by plane a lot as well.
1. Uppababy Vista with a rumble seat- I use for the mall and if I only have one child with me. Once I have three I will use it with the skate board. 
2. Thule urban glide 2 Double (double jogging stroller) I use this for all walking and outdoor stuff. This does not fit in my car so it’s mainly my everyday walk stroller. Not ideal for the mall but I can walk to my mall and can get by. 
3. Babyzen YOYO- this is used as a car stroller for my first because I was pregnant and the vista is super heavy. It fits in the overhead bin on the plane and it’s super great for 1 year and older. Problem is the weight limit is only 35 pounds which my three year old outgrew a couple months ago. Which brings me to stroller 4
4. Uppababy Minu- compatible with my Mesa, has a 50 pound weight limit, but it slightly too big for the overhead bin. Has a larger basket too than the Yoyo. When we travel, we take two strollers (Yoyo and minu) and I find this way easier than taking my huge vista. Especially in Europe where the cars are small and the streets are narrow. 
In all I would register for two strollers. An everyday and a travel, compact one for when the baby is 18 months and you don’t need a huge one.

I would recommend the baby jogger gt mini system. They have a new model coming out in the next few months. If you decide to go with that one you might want to wait to add it till the new model comes out. It's light, one hand close, all terrain.

I registered for one stroller and bought one on marketplace used. A lot of joggers don’t get used a lot and people resell great ones for cheap! I got a bob on Facebook for 120$ and it was practically brand new.

I would do the jogger travel system. Jogging strollers are the best in my opinion. I do not plan on running or going crazy with it but picture going to the park and pushing across grass, or a gravel path or other times you would not be in a perfectly flat surface. Jogging strollers tend to come with more true rubber tires rather than plastic tires which is what makes them so much easier to maneuver on different types if ground. I do have to say I am also getting a stroller frame for easy trips to the grocery store but the jogger travel system was a must for me and several people I know.
