Hi ladies I have some confusion with what tricare will and won’t pay and also where I can and can’t go. I am tricare standard so I always go off base of doctor appointments unless I need to go to the er. My husband was told by a friend that his wife went on base and had an <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> done and only paid $220 she’s prime but the clinic she went to will see standard patients but will be out at the bottom of list basically.

I’m confused because I looked on the tricare website and it says that it does not cover <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> (unless I read it wrong)

I also called the clinic and they said without being prime they won’t see me, but the wife of my husbands friend said her friend is standard and they just saw her.

If I go off base I’m looking at $1000-$1200 for <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> but if I can get on base it’ll be $220.

Has anyone heard of this or had experience with a situation similar? Any insight would help me!

I also tried calling tricare and the rep seemed very confused as to what I was trying to get done and the questions I was asking. I’m not sure where else to turn to to ask these questions.
